5 Points You Must Remember From A Powerful Book to Grab Wealth & Success

I think one of the most powerful books about money is the famous book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

It has a lot of golden nuggets, stories and practical knowledge which we can apply to become financially successful.

It’s amazing that whatever was written in 1937 is still applicable today in 2016.

Here’s 5 important points to remember from this book so you can grab wealth and success!

1. Make decisions quickly and firmly

During a seminar, Napoleon Hill paraphrased and said that “Successful people make decisions quickly but change them slowly; non-successful people make any decision slowly, but are quick to change those decisions.”

When you can’t make a decision, it is not because you’re unable to decide but it’s because you’ve decided to do nothing.

In chapter 8 of the book Think & Grow Rich, there’s one paragraph that speaks volumes about decision making:

“The majority of people who fail to accumulate money sufficient for their needs, are, generally, easily influenced by the “opinions” of others. They permit the newspapers and the “gossiping” neighbours to do their “thinking” for them.”

This is a valuable practical advice that everyone should adopt!

This is why the Great Lee Kuan Yew said “Make the Right Decisions, Even If They Are Unpopular”.

Just image if he made decisions based on other people’s opinions. Then I do not think Singapore will be where it is today.

2. Have A Mastermind Group

A mastermind group is a group of people who have similar set of interests but are there to help each other by brainstorming ideas and challenging each other.

A lot of magical things can be achieved when you are in a group of like-minded people versus you trying to get through things alone. Work with a group of people who you can trust and you’ll be surprised at what you might get out of being in a group.

3. Have A Mentor

I think this can be one of the easily forgotten things after we leave School.

Back when I was in the army, I could never pass my standing broad jump test. In fact, I was only able to jump 150cm to 160cm. I needed to jump at least 242cm and above in order to pass my training.

If I didn’t pass, that would mean that I had to be transferred elsewhere. As a result of having a few mentors, I miraculously jumped 246cm.

Honestly, it’s something that I never thought I could achieve but I did.

Without the help of mentors, I wouldn’t have made this life achievement.

Mentors work!

Just make sure you pick the right ones. Have a mentor who has already achieved what you’re trying to achieve.

4. Surround yourself everyday with positivity

In today’s world, we receive news and information as fast as the speed of light. We get to know about plenty of events in a matter of seconds and sometimes majority of them are bad news.

Sometimes, we may also unexpectedly face bad news along the way. Therefore, it’s really important for you to have some form of ritual everyday to energize yourself up with positive energy.

For some it’s going to be affirmations, for some it’s going to be prayer, some some it’s going to be meditation and etc.

I recently came across an interesting book that you ought to read if you want to transform your mornings. The book is titled “The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life before 8AM“.

If you don’t have the book or want to quickly read what is it about, click here to read the summary by Paul Minors.

5. Attitude of Believe

There is one famous saying that that comes from Napoleon Hill that you might have heard before which goes like this “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve”.

If you first do not believe, you will not be able to achieve what you set out for.

This is why the technique visualisation is being used by many Athletes around the world!
