For 7 years, 37-year-old Darren worked hard as a customer service officer.
Year after year, he worked hard for the company and worked overtime on some days as well.
With the amount of years of service and dedication, he probably should be getting some kind of long service award.
On the 7th year, while Darren was sitting as his desk, his manger called him to his office.
“Wow! Am I going to get a promotion?” Darren thought to himself as soon as his manager called him.
Darren stood up and walked to his manger’s office with his head up high feeling a sense of pride.
After being in the room for only about 6mins, he walked out of his manager’s office.
It was the opposite of what Darren thought would happen.
He was told to leave.
He was shocked, sad and confused at the same time.
“I never ever thought it would happen to me….I worked hard for 7 years at my job!” he thought to himself as he walked back to his desk.
Unfortunately, the company had to let him and several others go because they were going through some form of restructuring.
He got home that night with his mind filled with worry.
He switched on the television but he wasn’t watching it at all.
His mind was just elsewhere.
His mind was filled with worry about the bills that he had to pay.
His mind was filled with worry about whether he’ll be able to find another job quickly.
And his mind was filled with worry about whether there’ll be enough for his family.
As he sat on the chair he thought deeply to himself, “If only I had another income.”
Never depend on a single income
This is why you should never depend on a single income.
This is especially so during this shaky job market condition.
The 3rd richest man in the world, Warren Buffet said, “Never depend on a single income. Make investment to create a second source.”

It’s a system you can use to create passive income (money that you get without having to work physically).
